Zoya Haul!

I love Zoya polishes, and over Halloween, they had one of my favorite kinds of promotions, where you can get 3 polishes for $15…a great time to get some nice fall polishes. I didn’t want to go super crazy, so I only picked up three, but they are lovely.

Here are the polishes:

Normani – I love this light greige! It’s a great semi-neutral for fall. The only downside is that it takes several coats to be opaque, but I’ll be interested to see how this holds up in a full manicure.

Veronica – a great fall/winter red. It was also opaque quite easily in one coat, and it looks really lovely. I’ll have to compare it to other reds I own, but while not a must-have, this is a really nice red.

Genevieve – a lovely greyish navy creme. It has a tiny microshimmer if you look really closely, too. This was opaque in one coat and lasted really nicely in 2. I love this color for fall/winter and think it’s a great option for a dark blue. I wore it in a full manicure this week and loved it.

Zoya is running some kind of other promotion for cheaper polishes now, as well, which I’m passing on because I’ve gotten  too many polishes recently (look for a cleanout soon), but they are wonderful! They last the longest on me of most polishes I’ve tried, and they have some great colors and finishes. I especially recommend their Pixie Dust polishes…so unique and fun!

Overall, I love Zoya and definitely recommend their polishes! What are your favorite shades from them?

September Julep Maven Unboxing

It’s that time again – Julep Maven box! Mine came very early this month, and it was free because I was able to pay for the whole box with Jules. Here’s what the Art Walk Collection looks like:

I have a customized box, so I got 3 polishes and added one on. This month’s colors were perfect for fall, and I am so excited to add them into my collection. Here are the swatches:

I am most excited about the satin finishes! I’m not sure if these come across in the light I was photographing in, but Quinn and Mary Lee are beautiful satin polishes, which I love all the time, but especially for fall. I picked my colors from various style profiles this month. Here’s how Julep’s site describes them:

Quinn, a Classic with a Twist polish, is a “charcoal gray satin.” So, basically the perfect fall polish. I am already so excited to wear this all during the fall.
Lupita, another Classic with a Twist polish, is a “ripe rhubarb creme.” It’s a really vibrant creme polish, which is great for all seasons.
Erin, a Boho Glam polish, is an “oyster grey creme,” a great fall twist on a neutral nail. I’ll love this for work or play!
Mary Lee, another Boho Glam polish, is an “oxblood satin,” which I think is the quintessential fall polish. I have several polishes this color as I love vampy nail colors, but the satin texture really made this a must-have.
