November Favorites

With a lot of craziness happening at work and trying out new products before holiday travel, I’ve been rocking a lot of low-maintenance makeup this month. However, I’ve loved the simple, pretty look and discovered some great products along the way!

FullSizeRender (1)

Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer in SPF 15: I was looking for a daytime moisturizer with SPF that was a little more affordable, and I read somewhere (I don’t remember where or I would link!) that this one was good for oily skin because it has a light texture. I really love this! It feels great on the skin, is so clean and light, smells great, and it has SPF – all I want in a moisturizer. The drugstore price is a major plus, too. This is great for oily girls!

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NW15: I’m traveling over the holidays and in my efforts to not check a bag, I’m looking for a great powder to wear as a base. This powder is so comfortable, and it has really nice coverage. It makes me look fresh faced and put-together while feeling really light and natural on the skin. It does work best with a denser powder brush, and I’m so excited to take this with me on vacation!

L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara: An old drugstore favorite, I’m so happy I brought this back to try! It makes my lashes look so thick and gorgeous, and it really opens up my eyes. It does get a little clumpy because of the wet formula, so you need to comb through the lashes to get rid of clumps, but for the price point, it’s excellent.

NYX Single Shadow in Underneath it All: One of my favorite low-maintenance looks is MAC’s Painterly paint pot with this shadow buffed into the crease – easy, gorgeous and put together. I’ve busted this out a lot. It’s the perfect crease color with no other shadow on the lid.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst: Another low-maintenance look, I’ve also loved this all over the lid, huge lashes and no eyeliner. It’s a very chill, pretty look. I love this shadow. It gives just a little color to the eyes without anything fancy or complicated. It’s great for an easy weekend look or when you want to look put together with very little effort.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla: I got this backup before I discovered my favorite concealer, the Urban Decay Naked Skin, but this is still a good one! I’ve loved it to cover up blemishes and under the eyes. It has good lasting power, but nothing too impressive like MAC Pro Longwear. It’s still a good concealer, so I like it, but I do have others I like better.

Benefit Dallas: This cheek color is great because it’s like a blush and bronzer mixed together. It brings life to my cheeks really naturally, and I really enjoy the look.

Trish McEvoy Lip Color in Sheer Iced Mocha: I’ve had this lip color a while, but I’ve just recently pulled it out. It’s such a great color for fall! It’s a mauve that pulls brown with a little shimmer. It’s so pretty and fun! The formula is also really comfortable on the lips. It’s a natural look that comes across a little more pigmented than a Revlon lip butter, and I’ve really enjoyed it this month.

DevaCurl Super Cream Coconut Curl Styler: This is the most transformative hair product for my curls! I had a sample and finally bought the full size – it’s lived up to the sample. It defines my curls nicely, keeps my hair hydrated and cuts down frizz.

I’m looking forward to a lot of glitter in December makeup! See you then 🙂

VIB Rouge Sale Haul

We’ve all had the most wonderful time of the year – Sephora VIB/VIB Rouge Sale! It’s been a while, but I’ve picked some wonderful products up and had a chance to try them. I’m ready to share the love!

And the other samples and goodies!

It was clearly a hair care type of haul. So, if you’re a 3A/3B Curly Girl, some of these may work for you too!

DevaCurl Flexible Hold Hairspray: I saw this on this Instagram account, and had to buy it. I’ve been following her routine because her hair is amazing, and I’ve been really pleased so far! The smell is kind of gross, but it isn’t terribly noticeable throughout the day. I do think that it preserves my curls after washing. I made it to 3rd day hair without having to wear my hair up, so I think it’s a winner!

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo: I had a sample of this before, and it is amazing. My hair is high maintenance, and I hate having to mess with it too much, so I love anything that helps me not have to wash it (but yes, I do shower!) This is the key. I feel like it really does clean my hair! I spray it from about 6 inches away, wait 30 seconds and shake it through my hair. Then, I’m good to go! It doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave it feeling greasy, and it smells amazing, too.

DevaCurl No-Poo Decadence: I’ve put this in my routine as my shampoo substitute, and I’ve loved the results! I feel like my curls are more defined and voluminous. It maintains the texture that I love but still feels clean.

NARS Lip Gloss in Chelsea Girls: I’ve heard about this gloss in pot form for the longest time, and was so excited to try it! The formula and color are both really pretty, but the staying power isn’t as long as a MAC lip glass or Buxom lip polish. Still, it’s an amazing everyday pretty lip gloss.

DevaCurl Super Creme: This. Stuff. Is. Magic. Seriously. It’s made me fall back in love with curly hair, even though mine is a little bit damaged and gross looking at the moment. It defines curls, cuts down on frizz and leaves my hair really hydrated. It has coconut oil in it, which I think is the secret. It leaves my hair gorgeous, and it will be in the rotation for a long time!

IMG_5510

This order put me over the edge and renewed my VIB status through next year – and I got a Marc Jacobs lipstick!

IMG_5511

I’m obsessed with the Black Opium Perfume, but I also got a Volupte Tint-In-Oil, Touche Eclat Blur Primer and Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

And swatches: YSL Volupte Tint-in-Oil in Cherry My Cherie, NARS gloss, Marc Jacobs Lipstick

What did you pick up? What are you loving recently from Sephors

Sephora Play! November 2015

I’ve been really excited about a new beauty discovery that I’d love to share – the Sephora Play! box! They sent me an early invitation a few weeks ago, and I’ve really enjoyed it. In fact, I’ve canceled my Birchbox for the time being, and I’ve been skipping a lot of my recent Julep boxes as well. (Partly because I’ve had product overload, but I love trying new things, and this has really stepped in!)

If you’re not familiar with Play!, the box has several deluxe samples that are offered at Sephora. Because I do so much shopping there, it’s great to be able to try out products before I buy.

This month’s focus was Sephora Exclusives.

IMG_5573

The box also includes this great booklet that gives background information on the products and how to use them. It also has a card that you can bring into your local Sephora for more information on the products and an extra 50 BI points.

Here’s what came in this month:IMG_5574

Stella by Stella McCartney perfume: This is a nice enough perfume, but I have tons of perfume samples I’m still trying to work through. It will be a long time until I buy a full size!

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12-Hour Waterproof Eye Pencil in My Boyfriend’s Jeans: This pencil isn’t overly creamy, but it has crazy staying power! It barely came off in the shower on my swatch hand. I also love the electric color. I love adding a pop of color on my waterline, so this will be a really fun addition to my collection.

Bite High Pigment Lip Pencil in Rhubarb: If you’ve stuck with me, you probably know I’m obsessed with Bite products. They feel great on the lips, are so creamy and beautiful and have the best colors. This is one of my favorite Bite formulas, too. I got this shade in their holiday set last year (I actually wore it this weekend!), so I’ll probably be passing it along, but it’s a great product!

Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in Dolly: I had a sample of this the Full-On Lip Cream that I love, but this may be better. The color is the same, a perfect wearable pink, but the formula doesn’t have the minty tingle the other did. I think this formula is much more comfortable with the same longwearing quality.

Josie Maran Argan Oil: I got this in a Birchbox ages ago, and love it. I love it on my hair, especially now that it’s getting so dry outside. It’s magic for split ends or dry hair!

Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer: I’m a sucker for a primer, and I’m so excited to try this one! I really enjoy the mattifying/pore-filling formula, and this one should be another good choice. From my experience, these primers are really comfortable and actually lengthen the life of your makeup!

And the swatches:

Recent Empties!

Yup, another long hiatus. But in that time, I’ve gone through a ton of products. I could do 3 separate posts on empties, but…who really wants to see that? So, here are the products I’ve run through most recently.

FullSizeRender

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium: I love this powder! This color is a bit too dark for my skin tone, and I’m interested in a lot of MAC’s other powder foundations, but this will definitely be back on my to-buy list. Some ProLongwear Concealer with this powder is the perfect way to do a put together look on a low maintenance makeup day. I’m a big fan!

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil: This oil smells. so. good! It also makes your skin so soft. This was in a 500-pt. perk set, and I was so sad to see it go. I don’t know how well it cleans, but a full size isn’t terribly expensive, so this would be a great buy to treat myself 😉

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless: I’ve reviewed this foundation previously, and (full disclosure), I didn’t actually finish the whole bottle. It seemed to sit on my skin and looked really cakey by the end of the day, no matter what I did. It also broke up a lot on my chin, which is one of my problem areas. I know a lot of people love this foundation, but it’s not for me.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: This was excellent for me over the summer. It really kept my oil at bay and helped clear up my acne. As it’s getting colder and my skin gets drier, it’s making my skin feel a little tight, so I haven’t repurchased it yet. I may once I see how my skin fares with acne in the cooler weather, but it will come back in the spring!

Bare Minerals 5-in-1 BB Cream Shadow: I got this in an Ipsy bag, and purchased the full size. This is great to cover up any veining or discoloration on my eyelids, but isn’t the best eyeshadow best. It also seemed to get much drier in consistency as I got about halfway through the tube, which was weird. It’s okay, but I won’t repurchase.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fluide Foundation: I got this foundation sample, and I’m so glad I got to try it. I got a lot of use out of the sample, even though it was a touch too orange for me. When I first applied it, it was beautiful, but it wasn’t really built for oily girls. A good powder was effective, but I tended to look greasy after 5-6 hours. With a full size going for around $50, it’s not worth it to me.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Powder: I was initially so excited for this powder…but it was so disappointing! It didn’t keep oil at bay or do much to set my foundation. It was a bit pore blurring at first, but that didn’t last long. Plus, the loose powder was such a mess. I was so glad to see this powder go!

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara: This is a great drugstore mascara – almost a dupe for my beloved Benefit They’re Real. I love the brush, and the length it gave my lashes was incredible! It is pretty hard to get off, so make sure you have a good eye makeup remover, but this is a great choice!

NARS Larger Than Life Longwear Eyeliner in Via Veneto: I got this in my Sephora birthday gift, and it may be my favorite eyeliner pencil ever! It is so pigmented and creamy and stays put beautifully – especially in the waterline. I made the mistake of not realizing that it was a twist-up, so the pencil part fell out after I broke it…but I will definitely purchase a full size when I am in need of a new eyeliner!

Urban Decay 24-7 Glide-on Eyeliner in Perversion: This was another eyeliner sample, and while it goes on really nicely, I don’t feel like it stays put at all. Great for tightlining, but there are better options for plain eyeliner.

First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy: One of my skincare staples! I make sure this is always in my makeup bag when traveling, etc. It really wakes up my undereyes in the morning, depuffs, cools and brightens. I love starting my morning with this little guy! A little does go a long way, so just make sure that you’re using the product sparingly.

Living Proof Curl Conditioning Wash: This is one of the products that has really transformed my curls! It cleans my hair without stripping it or making it lose volume. I also notice more defined curls when I use this. I’ve already repurchased twice, and this has a permanent place in my shower.

Briogeo Curl Charisma Conditioner: Another shower staple, this conditioner is amazing for curls. It really nourishes and conditions them while keeping frizz at bay. It’s so creamy that a little goes a long way. I notice my tangles disappearing pretty soon after I put this on my hair, too. It’s a winner!

Bite Beauty Lip Primer: I know people have mixed feelings about lip primers, but I seriously love this. I love layering it under a lipliner because it doesn’t make my lips feel dry or crusty. I also feel like it makes a lip liner or lipstick last longer without drying out my lips. I am really sensitive to lip product textures – if it’s even a little drying, I know I won’t wear it – and this helps me wear all my different products comfortably.

I’ve been making good product progress! What have you run out of recently?

June Favorites

The summer is flying! Happy Independence Day to my fellow American beauties, and I hope everyone else is having a lovely summer weekend!photo 2 (31)

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft n Gentle – I am loving this highlight. It is a shimmery glitter, but it gives such a pretty glow that is just perfect for summer. I’ve been wearing this religiously since I bought it!

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso – Why did I forget how amazing this blush is?!? It had mostly been serving as a blush to throw on for a “no makeup” day, but lately I can’t stop wearing it. This blush is so pretty. It just makes you look naturally pretty and girly, and I love it!

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow in Nutty – I’ve been on a bit of a minimal makeup kick, and this single shadow is perfect for those looks. It’s a shimmery taupe-y brown, perfect for a one-shadow look or to just buff into your crease for a little definition.

Paula’s Choice Resist Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 Tinted Moisturizer – After I went on vacation in May, I realized that my sun protection for my face is severely lacking and that I am very picky about daily moisturizers. So I went on a quest to find the perfect moisturizer with SPF for oily skin, which led me to Paula’s Choice. Paula’s Choice is supposed to have really great ingredients for your skin, plus it got great reviews for oily skin. It does have a bit of a smell, but this is great for a daily moisturizer with SPF. It is tinted, which makes it great for minimal makeup days running errands or out in the sun. It layers well with different foundations and concealers, and is a great summer addition to my collection!

Cover FX Custom Cover Drops – I talked a bit about these in my birthday haul, but these are seriously so fun to use. It’s not a must-have, but it has made products I don’t love wearing more coverage (e.g. Maybelling Matte and Poreless Foundation). So far, my favorite mixers are the Paula’s Choice Moisturizer and Jouer’s Matte Moisture Tint. I don’t feel like it breaks up on my after a few hour either.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer – I know, I know, this keeps coming up, but I just love it! I thought it would be too dark for my skin tone, but that is not the case. I actually have gotten comments that my face looks thinner when I wear it, and it is my new favorite bronzer/contour.

MAC Lipglass in Angel – The theme for lippies this month is moisturizing and low maintenance, and this is definitely in that camp. It is the prettiest milky pink. It is pretty sticky, which doesn’t bother me because the lasting power is crazy. I love layering it with different lip liners or just on its own.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Curviest Caramel – I’m obsessed with this slightly orange brown-toned nude. The color is gorgeous and natural, and it feels like Chapstick on the lips. It isn’t super long wearing, but it applies so well, you won’t mind going back to retouch every few hours.

Pixi Lip Balm in Ripe Raspberry – This has been such a pleasant surprise, but it’s another tinted lip balm! This bright pink is perfect for summer days without being obnoxious. It is a tinted balm, so it gives you a sheer wash of color, but I also feel like it dries out my lips a bit. It has a great staining effect, too, so if you can’t reapply too often, it still looks great.

MAC Lipstick in Ravishing – I was a little on the fence right after I bought this lipstick, but now I’m obsessed. It’s so wearable, and the formula is classic MAC goodness. This looks especially pretty with orange or peachy-toned eye and cheek looks, too. I love it!

So I’m loving a lot of minimalist products this summer, clearly. What are you into?

Birthday Haul

So…long time no blog, right? I’m currently in the middle of studying for the GMAT, so all of my time has been taken up by studying, and blogging has gone to the wayside. I have about 3 weeks left, so blogs should return more regularly by then! In the meantime, I did have a birthday and hauled some great stuff, so I wanted to make sure to get on here and share!

Birthday goodies from MAC and Sephora!

I got some good stuff from MAC and Sephora this time.

MAC swatches top to bottom: Plumful, Ravishing, Painterly, Angel, Soft n Gentle

Swatches on these beauties! I haven’t worn these lipsticks yet, but I love MAC’s formula. It’s pigmented and long wearing without being too drying or heavy. And these colors will be fun! I’m a longtime lover of the Painterly Paint Pot, so I had to get it again. Nothing against my Bare Minerals creme shadow, but nothing beats Painterly for me. The lipglass is a gorgeous milky pink. The formula is pretty sticky, but that doesn’t bother me because it is so long-wearing and pretty! I wore this over Rimmel’s East End Snob lip liner and it was a perfectly pretty combination. And then Soft n Gentle, an amazing highlight. I’ve tried to not go overboard with highlighters, but this one was definitely worth the purchase. It’s a gorgeous champagne gold shimmer, and I use a pretty heavy hand with it – I just love the glow! But I’ve been most impressed with how long it wears. It’s a splurge, but it’s worth it.

photo 3

NARS from top: Rikugien, Cruella, Via Veneto

This is the VIB Rouge Birthday gift, so…no I didn’t purchase it, but it’s still new stuff to play with 🙂 I have been obsessed with NARS’ lip pencils for years, so I was pretty excited about this gift. Rikugien is a great everyday color. It’s very comfortable, and it’s a great “my lips but better” color on me. I wore it to work this week and only had to touch up after eating. I love the look and pigmentation of Cruella (fun fact, I had an obsession with the Disney character as a child), and I’m eagerly awaiting my chance to wear a bold lip this week! The eyeliner is the blackest black. Super pigmented, precise and everything you want from a pencil eyeliner. I’m really impressed and ready to work it into the rotation.

I don’t have a swatch, but I’ve also been playing with the Custom Cover Drops. If you’ve been anywhere near YouTube recently, these have a cult following, probably because they’re just so unique and weird. But they are perfect for summer. I’ve mixed with a tinted moisturizer for a lighter coverage day, and I’ve been wearing it recently with my Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, which is a great combination for me. I am oily, but when I wear these two together without a primer, it’s a good everyday combination. It is important to actually go in the store to find your color match, though, because the online swatches are not helpful. Even in the store there are a ton of options that can be overwhelming, but that means that you can get pretty close to finding your perfect match!

I’ve been playing with a ton of new stuff this month, which I love. What will show up in monthly favorites? You’ll have to stay tuned! 🙂

May Favorites

May has been a crazy month for me, as you can probably tell from the lack of consistent posting… While I hate not posting as often as I’d like to or whenever I have ideas, when things get busy, unfortunately, blogging is the first to go. But just because I haven’t been posting doesn’t mean I haven’t been finding and using some great products! Here are some standouts from the month of May:

IMG_5030

Julep Plush Pout Lip Crayon in Fuschia Berry I am so. obsessed. with. this. First of all, the formula is lovely. creamy and moisturizing but not too thick. You don’t feel like you’re wearing lipstick the whole time. The color is also gorgeous – I’d never tried a fuschia statement lip, but this one is so fun! It’s also really pigmented, so it creates a nice stain. The lasting power isn’t anything crazy, but it’s not bad at all – just a small touch-up needed after eating. Highly recommend!

Bare Minerals Matte Foundation: In the summer, I love a more natural foundation (especially now that my skin isn’t a hot mess). This foundation covers my trouble spots and gives me just enough coverage while maintaining a natural skin look. The matte version does not make me shiny either, so it’s really perfect for natural makeup.

Mary Lou Manizer: This is one of my favorite highlights, but it hasn’t gotten love until recently. It’s important to use a light hand, but when it’s dusted lightly on the cheekbones, it gives what is truly the perfect glow. It’s not a natural glow, but so pretty.

Benefit Dallas: I have an obsession with Benefit blushes, and I’ve been looking at this one for a while. It’s a nice almost bronzey nude mauve color that accentuates your cheekbones without looking brown, muddy or overly pink. I love the natural, sun-kissed look this gives my cheeks and how it makes my whole face look more alive. It is a little easy to be heavy handed with it, especially for pale girls like me, but when you’re careful, it’s great for summer.

Maybelline Rocket Mascara: I haven’t tried a lot of drugstore mascaras lately, so I decided to give this one a try. WOW. This mascara makes my lashes look gorgeous! Long, thick and so pretty! This ranks right up there with the Benefit They’re Real and Rollerlash mascaras for me.

Zoya nail polish: While this particular polish is in Shelbey, as you can see from my recent Zoya haul, I’ve been trying a lot of their polishes. I love them! With a good base and top coat (Julep Oxygen base and Out the Door top), I can get 5 or more days of wear out of these polishes! The colors are saturated nicely, and two thin layers of polish are just perfect for a professional-looking manicure.

What were your favorite things this month? So excited for summer beauty trends!

May Empties

photo (3)

Soap and Glory Clean on Me – I’ve had this shower gel forever. I love the Original Pink scent, and it froths really well. I also think it’s really moisturizing. I have several other shower gels and scents to go through, but I would definitely repurchase. I’ve heard that this brand will be more available and affordable soon, so I am excited to repurchase this more and get more in this scent!

Clean & Clear Acne Stress Control Lotion – I love this toner because it’s cheap and effective! I’ve recently found that Lush’s Tea Tree Water is more effective for my oily skin, but this is a great drugstore product for acne-prone skin.

Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Super Serum – This was a really thick serum/lotion sample. It’s not great for my skin because it’s so thick, but for someone with dull and dry skin, it would be a great choice.

MAC Fix+ – I’ve talked about this for a while, but I love this! I love how it preps my brushes for makeup and sets my makeup and makes it look natural.

Peter Thomas Roth Invigorating Night Gel – This is hidden, but this was an interesting serum/night gel. The smell was not great, but I did some brightening effects. It did sting a little, too, which I didn’t love. I won’t repurchase.

Ole Henriksen Vitamin C Brightening Serum – I love the citrus smell of the Ole Henriksen Vitamin C products, but they all make my skin so greasy! It was just a sample, so there wasn’t a lot to try, but I don’t think it did much.

Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-In Conditioner – I haven’t found too many Ouidad products that work well for my curls, and this wasn’t an exception. It was an ok leave-in conditioner/de-frizz product, but products from Briogeo and Living Proof are waaay more effective.

Out the Door top coat – My Holy Grail topcoat! Already repurchased.

Bare Minerals Citrine Radiance – I’ve finished a full-size highlighter! It was limited edition, but it’s also super glittery and yellow-toned, which wasn’t my favorite. I’m glad I bought it, but I’ll stick to more champagne and pink-toned highlighters.

Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel – I’ve talked about this in a favorites post, but this works so well for my skin. I’ve already purchased the full size, and I love how it works for my skin.

Julep Go Big Mascara – I really liked this mascara for voluminous, natural-looking lashes. I went through a phase where I loved it, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase. There are other high-end mascaras I’d love to try out and drugstore favorites that do the same thing.

Cindy Loumanizer – Unfortunately, this product isn’t empty, but it’s crumbled so many times, even after doing the alcohol setting trick that it’s not worth saving again. I mentioned liking pink-toned highlighters, but this one was almost too pink! I could never figure out what to do with it, so I’m saying bye to Cindy.

Algenist Eye Cream – As a rule, I just look to samples for my eye creams, but this one was nice. I didn’t notice a difference from my other night eye creams, but it’s more effective than not using an eye cream at all!

So that’s what I’ve used up! Anything you’re trying to work through?

Zoya Earth Day Haul

Recently, Zoya had their Earth Day sale, where you get polishes for 50% off for the good faith that you will return the shipping label to recycle current polishes you’re no longer using. This was so exciting because I have a collection of polishes I want to get rid of safely, and I love Zoya polishes! Here are the polishes I got and likely what I’ll be wearing all summer:

April Favorites

This month has absolutely flown by! This week has been nuts, but I was able to put together some favorites I wanted to share. Perhaps because I was moving out of my weekly makeup baskets, I wasn’t using much frequently enough to call it a true favorite. I’ve also been trying stuff from my VIB Haul, but I don’t have enough use with them to make them legitimate favorites quite yet. So, here is a smaller group for April!

photo-3

Living Proof Curl Wash – I talked about this in my haul, but this stuff is great. I’m planning to do a full review, but for reference, I have 3A/3B hair on the Naturally Curly curl types. My hair is also very fine, which can be a challenge. This curl wash defines my curls and keeps them defined. It makes my curls look really pretty, and it doesn’t strip it of moisture like a lot of shampoos.

Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette – I’ve done a whole post on how obsessed I am with this palette, but seriously, it’s amazing. I had to force myself from not using it every day this week. These shadows are just perfection.

Estee Lauder Double Wear + Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundations – I got this from a recent favorites video on Shades of Kassie’s YouTube channel. Mixing these two foundations is just perfect for warmer weather! I love the lightweight formula and natural finish of the Urban Decay, and I love the longwear and medium coverage of the Estee Lauder. Put them together – perfect foundation. I love this combination!

Lush Tea Tree Water – If you’ve read any of my foundation reviews, you know my skin is super oily. Lately, it was getting more insane than usual, so I tried this product from Lush on a whim. It was a winner! This is a spray bottle, which is a little different. I spray this on my face after washing and either let it dry or wipe off the excess with a cotton ball. My face has been so clear and much less oily since using this! It has a great natural scent, and whatever natural ingredients are in it are really agreeing with my skin. This has been a great addition to my skincare regimen!

Bare Minerals Blush in Happy – I often forget about this blush because it’s a loose powder, but it is so pretty! It is pink, but with a light hand, you can just build it up to a really pretty, natural flush. I think this is a great color for spring.

So there you have it! What were you loving in April?
